Bills at Dolphins Recap
The Bills enter their mini-bye 2-0 after a resounding 31-10 victory over the Dolphins on Thursday night.
Week 2: Bills at Dolphins Preview
The Bills hit the road on a short week after their home opening victory to travel to 1-0 Miami for their Thursday night football showdown. The advantage that I expect the Bills to exploit in this matchup is the Dolphins' offensive line. They struggled in week 1 in the run game and gave up three sacks. If the Bills can limit the explosive plays and be physical at the line, they will be in a good spot to win this game.
Bills vs Cardinals Recap
The Bills season started a little bumpy against the Cardinals on Sunday before completing consecutive scoring drives to end the first half and begin the second half on their way to a 34-28 comeback win.
Week 1: Bills vs Cardinals Preview
Will the mantra “everyone is going to eat” show up in the first game when we see the revamped offense that Joe Brady has been molding all off-season? The Cardinals' defense is young, but the team is entering the game with a chip on their shoulder, as seen with defensive lineman L.J. Collier’s quote, “I really do think Week 1 in Buffalo we're gonna put the league on notice..”
Buffalo Bills 53-Man Roster Prediction
The NFL rosters will be reduced to 53 tomorrow at 4 PM. Below is who I believe the Bills will keep on the 53-man roster for the deadline. I expect that Brandon Beane will do some roster gymnastics, and the 53 on the roster tomorrow will not be the 53 when the regular season starts against the Arizona Cardinals on September 8th.
Bills vs Panthers Recap
The Bills played their most entertaining game of the preseason Saturday in their final game before roster cutdowns with a 31-26 loss to the Carolina Panthers. All of the expected starters heading into the regular season sat to prevent any more injuries to an already banged-up roster. Some positives came out of this game, but the challenge is how many will translate to the regular season since most players will not be on the 53-man roster after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bills at Steelers Recap
The Bills looked like a more energized team Saturday night vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers compared to their week one performance. The defense played strong from start to finish, led by Greg Rousseau early on and the new fan favorite, Joe Andreessen. Andreessen took advantage of the opportunity provided by the injuries to players ahead of him and took a big step toward securing a spot on the 53-man roster.
The Loss of Matt Milano: Who Steps Up?
I will not act like this isn't a significant loss for the Bills’ defense when you factor in the other leaders they lost this offseason. They have time to adjust and find Milano’s replacement before the season starts, unlike last year, when they had to change five weeks into the season.
Bills vs. Bears Recap
I’ve never heard a player come out and say, “We’re not game-planning for these games,” but it makes sense. I view preseason games as a way to identify players' performance more than the teams’ performance.
AFC East Preview
Will the Bills repeat in 2024 and prove the doubters wrong? Did Miami do enough this offseason to get over the hump? Are Aaron Rodgers and the Jets for real? What will New England look like now that Bill Belichick is gone? All that and more in my final division preview, the AFC East.
AFC West Preview
The AFC West, home of the back-to-back Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, and the most confident division prediction I will make. Surprise, the Chiefs will repeat as AFC West Champions for a ninth straight year in 2024. The real question will be how the other 3 teams fare with two new head coaches and potentially two new starting quarterbacks in the division.
AFC South Preview
Can Houston build on its surprising 2023 campaign? Is Anthony Richardson healthy and ready to be an NFL-caliber starting quarterback? Was 2023 just an off-year for the now highly-paid Trevor Lawrence? Can Will Levis and the Titans turn the page on a new era in Nashville? A surprise team will finish the season at the top of the AFC South.
BB5: Training Camp Battles
As I mentioned in the Minicamp Wrap Up, more than a few position battles remain undecided. It will be interesting to see how they unfold as the pads come on and training camp rolls into the first preseason game versus Chicago on August 10th.
AFC North Preview
This division will be the most challenging division to win in the AFC due to the grueling division matchups. It doesn't get easier outside the division, as Baltimore, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh have 3 of the 4 most difficult schedules heading into 2024 based on the opponent's 2023 records.
BB5: Same Face, New Place
In this edition of BB5, I will delve into the profiles of five new players in the division, each poised to challenge the Bills' quest for a fifth straight division crown.
BB5: Bills Who Have Earned Contract Extensions
In this edition of BB5, I will evaluate players eligible for new contracts, two players who will qualify at the end of the 2024 season, and the priority of securing these extensions.
Minicamp Wrap Up
No drama. Seeing full participation (Benford excused) was great after all the controversy surrounding Diggs/McDermott during last year's mandatory camp.
BB5: Drought-Era Players Who Kept Me Billieving
In this edition of BB5, I am looking at the players who kept me a Bills fan during the 17-year drought that sometimes had me questioning my football fandom
BB5: One-Hit Wonders
Welcome to this edition of BB5, where we delve into the realm of 'One-hit Wonders’ players who, with a single play or a brief stretch of the season, etched their names into the hearts of Bills fans
BB5: Bills Super Bowl Window Remains Open
As long as Josh Allen is healthy and lining up behind center the Bills Super Bowl window will be open.
